Fri 23rd November 7 p.m.

“Pohjonen Alanko (North lowland) is a forgotten piece of land deep in the northeast hemisphere, where time has stopped in the future, where fleeting moments disappear into the past before life has a chance to touch them. In these rugged landscapes of the soul, people go from time to eternity and back. Singing.”

Pohjonen Alanko is the shared musical landscape of Ismo Alanko, Kimmo Pohjonen and Tuomas Norvio. A project that allows them to experiment the different dimensions of the human voice. The music started emerging by voice-improvisation and it moves from primitive feelings, through controlled chaos, to lyrical melodies. Tuomas Norvio's world created by samples, as well as Alanko's and Pohjonen's own instruments color the landscape with steep shades.

Ismo Alanko: song, guitarr, violin
Kimmo Pohjonen: song, accordion, electronics
Tuomas Norvio: electronic rhythms and soundscapes
